DR. SEAN LANDRY, CHIROPRACTOR

Although my first priority is to relieve a person of discomfort and pain, that is only the beginning.

I teach that health is more than being symptom free and that a high level of wellness can be achieved by nearly everyone if given the right guidance.

Once immediate pain or symptoms have been eliminated, attention may then be focused on strengthening the body, increasing flexibility, boosting energy, enhancing sleep, increasing one’s resistance to disease and developing emotional and physical hardiness, all of which lead to a more positive attitude, improved relationships and a healthier life.

Robust health (wellness) encompasses a great deal more than just not being sick.

My enthusiasm for health and well-being was developed over many years of playing elite level sports. I grew up competing in hockey, soccer and rugby and was fortunate to have my passion lead me to playing collegiate level athletics.

It was during these athletic endeavors that I realized how much overall health and fitness plays a role in determining one’s performance.

Eager to learn more about the relationship between health and peak performance, I completed a Bachelors of Science in Biology and earned a Doctorate in Chiropractic at Life University in Atlanta, Georgia in March of 2005.

I furthered that search by later obtaining my Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist qualification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

For the past 7 years I have had the opportunity to gain experience in the chiropractic field, working with a wide variety of people of all ages and backgrounds, from athletes to weekend warriors and most recently spent 2 years in Vancouver, British Colombia working under the guidance of Dr. Kenneth Mikkelsen (Chiropractor for the Canadian National Swim Team).

I am excited to have made the move to back to the West Island and look forward to helping you travel the path from pain relief to wellness.

Valérie graduated from McGill University in 2013 with a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy in addition to a Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Science. She is a registered physiotherapist and a member of the Ordre Professionel des Physiothérapeutes du Quebec.

Throughout her internships, she realized that her passion was focused on pain relief,  treatment and prevention of further injury.  Valérie also has a strong interest in manual therapy.  She has completed her levels 1 and 2 in manual therapy and plans on completing further levels as well. She also has been educated on the use of Rock Tape for different types of injuries and she has followed a weekend class on the prevention of running injuries.

The vision presented at Vitality meshed well with Valérie’s beliefs as the focus is concentrated on looking at the individual as a whole and finding the cause of the issue.

Outside of the clinic Valérie enjoys snowboarding, running, cycling and cooking.

RILEY GRANT D.O., OSTEOPATH

Riley was first introduced to the philosophy of osteopathy through fellow team member, Dr. Sean Landry, when she became his patient in 2012. She was amazed by the dramatic effects manual therapy had on her personal health and healing. The philosophy of osteopathy resonated so much with her beliefs that she made a career change from marketing and enrolled at the College D’etudes Osteopathiques de Montreal.  She joined the Vitality team as an osteopath in October 2018.

Riley has completed continuing education on the osteopathic approach to:

  • pediatrics
  • obstetrics
  • gynecology
  • stress
  • concussions
  • athlete care

Riley will be presenting her case study on the osteopathic approach to endometriosis in the fall of 2020. While she enjoys a diverse patient base, since starting her career as an osteopath Riley has taken a keen interest in the effects manual therapy can have on women’s health. She strongly believes that it is important for more research to be done surrounding women’s health to erase the embedded belief that pain and issues affecting our pelvis are normal. Throughout her career she hopes to create more dialogue surrounding women’s health, a domain that is too often silenced. There is ample research showing the effectiveness of manual therapy in helping women with: infertility, c-section recovery, delivery outcomes, pain & other symptoms during pregnancy, endometriosis, painful periods, absence of periods, painful intercourse, incontinence just to name a few. She looks forward to working with you!

Dr. Bruno Zappia M.D., T.C.M. Dr., well known as one of the main founders of Chinese Medicine in Italy, was predominantly responsible for instilling passion and curiosity in Antonio. Dr. Zappia has been a mentor to Antonio, taking him under his wing and teaching him the philosophy and wisdom of this ancient art.

He is continuously amazed by the effectiveness of all sciences of healing and its power to help people find relief on the physical level and beyond.

NATALIA RODRIGUEZ, MASSAGE THERAPIST & SRT (Spiritual Release Techniques)

My name is Natalia Rodriguez, I have a great passion to help others and to share my knowledge and learning for the health and well-being of people.

I am humbled and grateful for having the opportunity to help minimize people's pain and contribute to their improved health.

I have a degree in Physiotherapy, 2007 and a specialized graduate diploma in physical activity with a focus in Ergonomics, 2012, both qualifications are from Colombia. In pursuit of furthering my knowledge and experience in musculoskeletal disorders, most recently I qualified and am registered as a Massage Therapist in Quebec. I found this to be an amazing complement to my prior education and experience. I love to do different trainings and courses that give me a better approach in manual therapy.

All of this combined has given me a more holistic understanding and approach to the human body. It has only further reinforced to me the importance and need to have balance in life, physically, mentally and spiritually. As a result, I love to meditate daily and practice yoga.

My goal is to offer you a session where you can connect with your body, mind and soul, for a moment of relaxation and disconnect, to benefit from the effects of therapeutic massage. I like to add cupping and myofascial release techniques among others according with each person needs.
